Scrip Calendar 2016/17
The calendar has been updated with this year's order dates. Order dates apply to physical card orders. Instant access cards (ScripNow!) or Reloads can be done at anytime, if you have the access code. Contact me for the code, so I can setup the student account to track the reserves. Don't have a student at the school; you can still use scrip to support another student or program at the school (this include teacher classroom projects as well).
ScripNow! and Reloadable Cards
The biggest change that we have seen with the scrip gift card program, is the ease in ordering on-demand certificates, or reloading pre-purchased cards (from the scrip program).
Once you have registered at www.GLScrip.com per the instructions listed below, you are on your way to ordering scrip when you need it. You can even enter your physical card orders early, and they will ship during the regularly scheduled school order week. (You won't forget to place your order.)
A few of the new reloadable cards include Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Taco Bell. Buy the initial plastic card from the scrip program and reload the card thru either your regular order or on-line at your convenience.
Ask me about how to use your reloadable card on your phone apps! Starbucks anyone?
Scrip - Fundraising without Selling anything
When is a fundraiser not a fundraiser? When it doesn't involve selling anything, and still makes money for your student to use. In a nutshell, Scrip is purchasing face value gift cards, for items and shopping that you already do. Then, in partnership with the Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation, merchants return a portion of the sale back to the schools to use. For Middle and High School, that reserve can be used for any fees at the school (a few exclusions, like parking passes and senior all night party)
If you've never purchased scrip gift cards before, you should give it a try. It is the simplest way to raise money for activities at school; see the FAQ sheet for more information about how scrip can benefit your student, your classroom, and your school. See the new "ScripNow" feature available.
After checking out the FAQ, contact me for any questions about the program - Kris Howatt
This is my 11th year as scrip coordinator, currently supporting Gresham High School, Clear Creek MS, and Highland Elementary.
